Plant Genetic Resources CentreThe National Focal Point is designated by the government to report on the implementation of the Global Plan of Action to the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture.
Responsibilities of National Focal Point

Co-coordinating and facilitating in-country activities of PGRFA information exchange; and

Presenting reports on PGRFA at national, regional, and international levels.
For the establishment of the National Information Sharing Mechanism, the
National Focal Points is responsible for
initiating, organizing, and directing the involvement of Stakeholders in the
GPA-NISM.
